WHAT IS BAPTISM?

Baptism does not make you a Christian. Only faith in Jesus makes you a Christian. However, baptism is an important ordinance and act of obedience. Jesus’s example and command to be baptized serves as opportunity to see the power of the gospel.

WHY DO WE GET BAPTIZED?

The Scripture teaches that all that repent and believe in Christ are to be baptized (Matthew 28:19–20). Baptism is a public confession of faith in Christ and identification with the body of Christ. We perform water baptism by immersion, as it is spiritually symbolic of the death, burial, and resurrection of Christ (Romans 6:4). It is a declaration to all that we have died to sin and have been raised with Christ to walk in newness of life. Resonate Life Church practices and teaches believer’s baptism.
